Ní hé an té is fearr a thuileann is mó a fhaigheann.
The most deserving isn't always the best rewarded.
Welcome to the official Web site for the Irish Wolfhound Society of Ireland (IWSOI) -- Cumann na bhFaolchú in Éirinn.
Our focus is this magnificent breed in its entirety: showing, breeding, lure coursing, fun days, get-togethers and walks in various parts of the country.
We want to provide for all Wolfhound owners throughout the island of Ireland, both show dogs and pets. Most importantly we want to make people aware of health issues and correct diet to ensure that this breed continues to flourish.

It is a poor hound that is not worth whistling for.

We are a new group of ‘old’ Wolfhound enthusiasts
- our members have had great success as breeders and in the
show ring, and have made up Irish and International champions,
too numerous to list, including several Breed Specialty wins,
Top Hound Ireland, Crufts Best of Breed and the current Pup
of The Year (POTY), the first time ever an Irish Wolfhound has
won this award. Our Committee members have a great knowledge of the Irish Wolfhound breed and would like to help and advise you in any problems with your wolfhound.
We hope you will join us. You will find a membership Information and an application form here. For additional information, please telephone or email any of the persons listed on our Contacts Page or use the form found there.
